The Announcement section of Blackboard is used to keep you informed about any technical issues or disruptions to the site. As an online student, Blackboard is your instructional connection to the university. Make it a priority to check these announcements daily to see if any of them affect you or your courses.
The Tools section of Blackboard is a list of direct links to student services and support programs designed specifically for EKU students. The university is committed to your academic success. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the resources provided in Blackboard supports, please contact our Advising Center at 859-622-2276.
Blackboard sends alerts to your account when you have messages related to communication and grading within your courses. The red number at the top of the Blackboard portal page indicates the number of alerts sent to your account. You can access them by clicking the down arrow next to the number.
My Courses
Blackboard makes it easy to access any of your current courses in the My Courses menu.  You will only be able to see the courses in which you have enrolled. 
Some programs of study provide academic organizations within the discipline for student support and academic enrichment. You can access any of your course organizations using links in the My Organizations section.Please note: these organizations are only associated with course work. Campus recreational organizations are not listed in Blackboard.

Student Email
EKU uses Microsoft Outlook asthe host for all official EKU email  accounts. This is the account you will use while you are a  student at EKU. Support for your EKU Outlook  account is provided through the IT Department. You can submit a help ticket at: Call them at: 859-622-3000. 
The EKU Libraries are a valuableacademic resource to students, whetherthey are on campus or online. From Library Express to the Noel Studio for  Academic Creativity, library staff are available to help students with everything from research and writing projects to media creation. There are three library locations on the main campus in Richmond, as  well as library resource rooms on  EKU extended campuses.

Blackboard is your portal to onlinelearning at EKU, and the university  provides information and support for  students using the site. As an online student, you have access to a number of resources designed to help you succeed as an online student at EKU.  The BB Help link will direct you to resources to help you understand and utilize all the features Blackboard has to offer.
